lashes, lashes, lashes.

I don't know about you all, but eyelashes are my favorite part of the makeup process. Putting on mascara, is got to be the most exciting thing, because it's the last thing I do, so it makes it THAT much better.

Today i'm going to talk to about 2 different mascara's that enhance the eyelashes differently. There are so many different kinds of mascara's, it would take forever to talk about. So i'm just going to stick to those today.. haha.

I kind of wanted to give you a demonstration of how they worked as well, so I'm going to show you, how they look. I usually use them together, but for this purpose, i'm going to show you how they look by themselves. The mascara's I am using at the moment are "Sephora Lash Extender" in black, and "Sephora Triple Action Mascara" in black.

I usually apply 4 coats of mascara all together, 2 of each kind, on one eye. It gives me the best look for my eyelashes. You should apply as many as you need to get the desired look. For a more natural look apply maybe one or two coats only, that way it doesn't really look like you have mascara on but makes you look like you have brighter eyes. For a more dramatic look add more coats, for a "False eyelash" effect. I like the more dramatic effect, any time of the day. When I put it on, I basically rub the brush back and forth, to get closest to the roots of the eyelashes because if you have blonde eyelashes, it's going to look weird when you have a strip of blonde hairs and the rest black. So just rub, and soon enough it will cover all the lashes. If it gets too clumpy, put the brush in the lashes, and just pull, it usually pulls off some of the unnecessary mascara, and separates your lashes. This works, trust me!

This is my eye, without any mascara on it, my lashes look so lifeless without mascara. Using even only mascara opens up your eyes a lot, and is very natural looking if you apply it right.
This is the Sephora Lash Extender, it lengthens your eyelashes, because the formula is infused with actual fibers that attach to your actual eyelash, so it's kind of like lash extensions so to speak. When I double up the mascara's I use this one first. I like how long it makes my eyelashes, even though you can really tell in this picture, they look much better than natural eyelashes with no mascara on them.
This is my eyelashes with Sephora Triple Action Mascara, it claims to extend, curl and volumize. I agree with the volumizing.. alone. When doubled up with the one above, it extends more and curls, but alone, its only gives you volume. This picture doesn't give it justice for it, but it looks completely different than the mascara above.

This is the Lash extender. As you can see, it has the fibers, it's pretty cool how it works. They just like, hook on to your eyelashes. The brush is also curved to give your lashes more curl, and I find it works pretty good for that.
This is the Triple action mascara. It kind of looks like a Christmas tree. The reason why it looks like this is because it's made so the smaller part of the brush gets the tiny lashes in the inner corner, and the wider part to get the bigger lashes all at once, and I can give it that, it most definitely works good like that.

So remember, for natural looks, less is more. You also don't want to cake on too much mascara or your eye is going to look like it has 4 eyelashes, or look like tarantula legs.
That's all for now. Comment on what you'd like to see!
